Taste the local brews and lovely foods with your fantastic crews – the premier festival takes place in the hub of Napa Valley.

BottleRock Napa Valley has officially come to a close and that means we all have to go back to eating “regular food!” The three day music fest has quickly deemed itself as, “a festival for foodies.”  BottleRock is THE only festival that delivers unique bites that are more than crave-worthy and instagrammable, some of the food is down right other worldly and over the top! While the music lineup is impressive its culinary and beverage options are equally appealing.

Tamarind Sticky Ribs!
A few of our favorites this year were the Morimoto Tamarind Ribs, which comes as no surprise due to Chef Morimoto’s stature in the culinary space. Bouchon Cafe served up a refreshing Brie-L-T, which was a nice twist. Complete with heaping slices of brie with a touch of fig jam was a nice light addition to other savory fare.

Picture your favorite BBQ meats covered in melty ooeey gooey goodness ,also known as mac and cheese. That’s what you got at Drewskis Hot Rod Kitchen!

Everything You Could EVER Want!
The Middle Feast had a unique take on fish tacos. Complete with tilapia marinated in Moroccan spices topped with slaw and a citrus garlic aioli – these tacos were simply amazing! At first thought this was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am sure glad that changed. Its unique, flavorful, and definitely not your typical festival pick, but easily SHOULD BE!

The Middle Feast! Not Your Average Festival Food!
Cousins Maine Lobster truck is a returning contender. Its well known in the festival circuit and is a safe bet as it remains consistent. Buttery bread topped with chill lobster and a touch of mayo and lemon – you cant go wrong!
Hendricks Gin remains at the top of our list for unique cocktails. The gin brand remains to deliver an experience for its connoisseurs while also refining the gin tasting notes. Hendricks is clean unrefined and stands out from the crowd among its competitors. This year they brought a 3 story bar to entertain the crowd as they waited for cocktails.

DELICIOUS Tacos From Cook Tavern!
Cook Tavern opted for the classic take in fish tacos. Perfect for the “first taste of summer, ” the fish tacos were topped with chipotle crema and pickled onions

In addition to bustling food vendors, innovative cocktails, and savory desserts the festival also has a culinary stage! The Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage was once again a festival standout, drawing thousands of viewers to watch memorable mashup moments combining food, music and antics. Appearing this year were culinary stars including Trisha Yearwood, Giada De Laurentiis, Masaharu Morimoto, Tiffani Thiessen, and more. Celebrities and musicians joining the fun included Halsey, Snoop Dogg, George Lopez, Shaun White, Mike D, Ken Griffey Jr.,  and many more joined in on the fun. A definite highlight was the Guinness World Record set by celebrity mixologists Snoop Dogg, Warren G and Top Chef Michael Voltaggio who created a massive 550-liter Paradise cocktail, which was a callback to Snoop Dogg’s 1994 hit ‘Gin & Juice!’

Tiffani Theissen and Missi Pyle got the party going by making watermelon margaritas during their demo. Dancing to Missy Elliot’s, “Get Your Freak On,” set the tone for the party that was about to happen on stage. Theissen also announced the release of her first cookbook, “Pull Up a Chair!” She teased the audience by saying the book, “was a lot of labor — and a lot of love. It was like birthing something with four hard corners. But you’ve got a beautiful book to say this is what you did.” The Saved by The Bell starlett currently has a show on Netflix, “Alexa & Katie,” and shows no signs of slowing down on releasing new material!
Known as the “first taste of summer, ” BottleRock has sadly officially come to a close. But not to worry, BottleRock will return next year May 24th-26th!
