You’re on the strip and hungry. But you don’t want one of those slow expensive sit down restaurant meals. Check out Luke’s Lobster, a Maine-based business that provides sustainable and traceable Maine-style lobster, shrimp, and crab rolls and more. The small lobster shack is located on the strip in front of the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.
We were invited to stop by and check out the combo of Joseph James beers with the seafood. I’m not a beer drinker myself, but I brought along my spouse as a taster. Jon Simmons, Sales Ambassador for Joseph James, was there filling us in on his company. It’s a local craft brewery which offers a variety of beers. No surprise that it is local Luke’s Lobster makes a special effort to partner with local craft breweries at its various locations in the USA
Everyone around me agreed that the beers are a nice addition to the small eatery which offers friendly personable service. But back to the food and the company. We had visited Luke’s some time ago and written about it. See Luke’s Lobster is Now Open.
Looks good, right? That’s a chilled, wild caught lobster in a split top bun with melted lemon butter, mayo, and their secret seasoning. Add to that a generous helping of shrimp and another of crab and you are in for a sea food treat. Special mention must be made of the tasty Clam Chowder.
Luke’s Lobster, a rustic, sustainability-driven lobster shack, is located on the Plaza facing Las Vegas Boulevard South at Fashion Show, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd South. The outdoor shack is stripside, located right in front of the Neiman Marcus entrance to Fashion Show directly across from The Wynn Hotel. The covered outside seating area has misters to neutralize some of the summer heat.
I sat down with Ben Conniff, president of Luke’s Lobsters and he explained that they buy the live lobster right at the dock. “We know our fishermen, ” he told me, and we know that they follow sustainable practices to keep the population healthy so they don’t overfish it.” And that is why, Ben said this is the,”best lobster money can buy.”
Friendly staff, fast service, good food. Hmm, Now I’m hungry for more of Luke’s Lobster.
