Official Launch Party I attended the official launch party in July at Adorn Bar and Restaurant on the 7th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago to help celebrate. The launch party featured a press conference to announce the lineup of new events and chefs.
It was quite the fashionable, culinary party! Chefs Richie Farina, Maya-Camille Broussard, Marcos Carbajal, Hector Guerrero, and Tony Priolo each prepared a dish inspired by their Chicago Gourmet event. Wine, champagne, spirits, and cocktails were provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
The biggest star of the evening I felt were the walls, which were decorated with a stunning 12 foot living wall made of lush greenery and fresh vegetables as the backdrop for the press conference.
There was also a dress made entirely of food, and three luxury brands located inside the 900 Shops – North Shore Exchange, Glasses Limited, and PROVENANCE by Diana Michelle – who featured designer products available for purchase. Guests were also able to strike a pose with Chicago Mirror Booth.
A sneak peak of delicious samples from the culinary offerings for Chicago Gourmet were featured at the launch party:
Vitello Tonato (poached sliced veal, tuna sauce, capers, vegetables) by Chef Tony Priolo of Piccolo Sogno
Potato Caviar Bite (a velvety smooth and mouth watering yeast mousse, potato salad, Kaluga caviar, fine herbs) by Chef Richie Farina of Adorn Bar and Restaurant
Buttermilk Fried Chicken (on a maple cheddar biscuit) by Chef Chris de la Cuava of Art Smith’s Reunion
Salted Caramel Peach Pie (Justice of the Pier’s Maya-Camille Broussard)
Carnitas Uruapan (tacos surtidos de carnitas with a side of chicharron) by Chef Marcos Carbajal
Fabulous spirits and beverages at the launch helped to wash down the bites such as Tequila Pantalones Organico (100% Agave), Luc Belaire Rare France Brut Gold Champagne and Zero Sugar Pellegrino Sparkling Soda.
So, the next advice I can give to all you foodies and fashionistas out there, get your taste buds ready and put your best foot forward for 2024’s Chicago Gourmet – Fashion Plated this coming September!
