Many years ago a dear friend of mine did her Bachelorette at a beautiful hotel, not far from Athens, named Mitsis Galini, were we had so much fun. As years went by, I felt it was about time to revisit this remarkable place under a new capacity, the one of the journalist!

Nestled in a tranquil beachfront setting in Kamena Vourla, Mitsis Galini welcomes guests with both all-inclusive and half-board services catering to every palate. We chose the all inclusive this time. Operating throughout the year, the hotel boasts one of the world’s largest spas, spanning 3,000 m2 and featuring thermal pools and a diverse range of treatments that seamlessly blend Thermalism and Thalasso. With 224 rooms and suites offering breathtaking views of either the mountain or the sea, along with 2 restaurants and 2 bars open daily, Mitsis Galini is a haven for all seasons.

The location of the hotel combined something really unique. On one side you have the sea, with the beautiful greek blue waters and on the other side you look at green mountain, which is full of vegetation, while breathing fresh clean oxygen. The suite we chose was facing the sea but the side on the pool I used to sit at, was facing the mountain, so I combined both remarkable sights. The truth is, it was so invigorating and at the same time so relaxing that it gave me views to remember all winter!

The rooms very spacious and clean. The wooden furniture and the marble bathroom were my top fav. What astonished me the most, was the fact that the cleaning ladies, all of them polite and sweet, were there unitil late at night making sure, all premises of this huge hotel were absolutely perfect!

Not to mention the humongous buffet, where the most delicious food “was waiving” at us every time we entered the restaurant! Beef, chicken, various salads, fish and lots of desert and ice cream were accompanied by the lovely wine and cold beverages. Having a pool view while having breakfast was the best start of the day. Behind the buffet, there were always Chefs to prepare personalised food right in front of you. Meat lovers had a unique dinning experience at the beach front restaurant, in an elegant and stylish setting, offering an extensive selection of signature dishes.

Every day after lunch, I personally enjoyed the Isabella Beach bar, which was right next to the beach, surrounded by the flourishing gardens, with refreshing drinks and creative cocktails!

Some people love to take a little boat tour to Lichadonisia, the Barbados of Greece but since we only stayed 3 days will try to try it the next time we visit this beautiful paradise.

Mitsis Galini is a 5* deluxe hotel, offering both all-inclusive and half board services, situated in a beachfront and peaceful location in Kamena Vourla, 150 km north of Athens. With thermal water pools, a thermal spa, lush gardens with walking paths, the hotel offers the perfect relaxing atmosphere. The resort operates all year round.

Within its premises, the hotel boasts one of the largest spas in the world, spanning 3,000 m2 with thermal pools and a wide range of treatments. The Thermal Spa is visited by people from all over. I had a very southing massage an afterwards I hit the pools. One with sea water that I loved and used and another one with Radio that older people mostly use and is perfect for various conditions.

Mitsis Galini is the ultimate 5* wellness spa retreat in Central Greece you must visit!
